Accounts Manager

Lynnconnect is currently recruiting an Accounts Manager for a well-established progressive Downham Market based company. This is a full-time permanent role. The person will be responsible for the entering and accuracy of the company’s financial records. Creating transactions in the company ledgers and making full use of the company’s accounting software. The candidate will be responsible for company record keeping and must have a firm understanding of accounting terminology and processes as well as a strong attention to detail. They will be liaising directly with accountants.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the accounting department’s work flow
  • Makes ledger entries and ensure accuracy of all transactions
  • Reconciles accounts and balance company financials
  • Researches and corrects entries as necessary
  • Maintain the Sales, Purchase and Nominal ledgers
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation and submission of monthly CIS
  • Update forecast to actuals
  • Prepare management accounts


General Skill Requirements:


  • Experience with computerised bookkeeping and Microsoft office, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of accounting terminology
  • Experience with relevant filing systems
  • Ability to keep various accounts straight and organised by project or personnel
  • Knowledge of accounting rules and legislation
  • Accurate Data entry
